Palm Treo 750v ‘invalid message recipients’

I have a Palm Treo 750v which I think is a tremendous thing to carry around in your pocket: phone, email, camera, spreadsheet & word processor and text messaging all in one (plus more features that I don’t use).

 The one problem I have had with it has been sending emails via my webmail account. The configuration looked fine, I could recieve email, but when sending it got an invalid message recipients error message.

The solution was to tick the ‘outgoing server requires authentication’ option – no other settings were required.

You can find ‘outgoing server requires authentication’ by accessing the email account, then select menu, tools, options and tap the email account you’re working with then Next onto page 4/4 click the Options button then Next onto page 2/3 and you’ll find the option … tick it, then Next, Finish and OK and you’re done.
