I’m always keen for suggestions, so, if there is a plugin (or hack) that you just can’t find and would really like to use then post your request here. If it’s likely to be useful and can be developed then I’ll certainly give it a go.

Provide links to old posts under a ‘Featured Post’ configurable title with an admin function to allow selection of which posts are to be featured, for how long and how they are to be selected.

Randomly update the last modification date & time of posts so that they appear as the latest post. The chronological order of posts in a blog with this plugin will be random. Allow configuration of the this plugin to restrict its action to selected categories.
